Bownce is a simple yet highly effective and cross-generational IoT sports device. It combines a whole-body workout with exciting challenges within a community of fellow bowncers. Due to its integrated electronic components, Bownce tracks performance and visualizes it in the app. The gamification element contributes to the regularity of training.

Bownce is the first product of its type, so we designed it from scratch based on an entirely new user experience and technical solutions that we developed together with the engineers.

The design and engineering challenge was to combine all the technical solutions in a small volume of the ball, keep it’s weight under 70 grams, and keep the look and experience of the product simple.

As part of the founding team, my design team’s contributions helped raise $11M in funding and successfully launch in 2022.
